Your way to the recovery room
After delivery, you will be transferred to a recovery room and monitored to a few hours. The first two hours after delivery is critical. You will still go on with the series of examination by your doctor.
While you are at the recovery room, your abdominal walls will be massaged to make your uterus contract to its original state faster. You will be monitored for delayed hemorrhage and checked to ensure that healing has begun. Meanwhile, your baby will be taken to the nursery and placed under a warmer for a few hours. Then he will be cleaned and bathed. He will be fed within the next four hours and will be ready for viewing in a few more hours.
Once your recovery is established to be progressing normally, you will be taken to your room for some much deserved rest. Having a baby definitely takes work!
