Men who eat more foods containing omega-3 fatty acids may have a lower risk of prostate cancer, according to a study published recently in the journal Cancer. The two kinds of omega-3 fatty acids-linoleic and linolenic acids-can be found in fatty fish, canola, linseed (flaxseed), corn, safflower, sunflower, cottonseed oils, walnuts, soybeans, spinach, and mustard green.
Omega-3 fatty acids have also been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease.
