You will probably get to see the newcomer within a few hours. Nuzzling and cuddling will come naturally as you feel the force of life and love which will bind you forever to this little bundle of joy. Although your baby might only join you when it is time to leave for home, the first meeting is nevertheless as special and important.
Do not hesitate to touch, cradle or ‘talk’ to your baby. Although he looks very fragile, little pats and cuddles will not do any harm. In fact, studies show that babies thrive on a balanced diet of food and love. Your touch stimulates your baby’s emotional development.
