Bay – Laurus nobilis
Both Laurus nobilis and its West Indian cousin Pimenta racemosa are valuable in the treatment of colds, flu and bronchitis. As discovered by the ancients, it also promotes digestion, and combats dyspepsia and flatulence. The West Indian oil is favored in the treatment of rheumatic pain because of its anti-inflammatory properties and is widely used as a general tonic: Both can be used in inhalation, baths and massage.
Caution: Avoid application to sensitive skins.
