St John’s Wort works well in treating mild-to-moderate depression

Feelings of depression are commonly associated with premenopausal symptoms. These feelings may be related to hormonal changes or to other midlife issues such as work, relationships or children leaving home. Several studies have found that supplements of St. John’s Wort, ranging from 300 to 1050 mg daily was clearly superior to Prozac.
